Connect the hoses together. This will not hurt the system. When the loader is hooked up the control valve does the same thing it sends the oil back to the tank. If you dead head the pump you will explode the pump because it will over pressure with out a relief valve the relief valve it located in the loader control valve. Even if you had a relief valve plumbed in when you dead head the pump it would cause the oil to over heat and burn the pump up.
