You need to post a picture of your fertilizer augers. The depth of the fighting to be exact. There are three different augers: low, medium and high rate augers. IRC the MAX with the high rate augers might not be enough for straight urea. Look in your JD 7000 operators manual. It tells you how many LBS. per acre you can apply with a certain density of fertilizer. Urea has a density of 50 lbs. per cubic foot. You can set up a simple ration using the numbers in the OM.
As for placement. If your putting a lot of Urea then you going to want to put it away from the row at least 4-6 inches. IF not you will burn the young plants.
Openers. Your planter should have the 2 inch x 2 inch square tube on the front. The openers for that style bar are dead common. I bet I have several sets but the fright is more than the openers are worth. Rebuilding the openers is not fun as everything is rusted tight on them. Plus it is not cheap either. A complete opener blade and bearing is over $35 each. So you can easily get a $100-150 in each row. So look for a pretty good set to start with.
Upload one or more videos to your post. Photo and video filesizes should be less than 5MB. Formats allowed are gif, jpg, png, ogg, mp4, mov, and avi. Be sure to use filenames without spaces or special characters, and filetypes of 3 digits lower case.
