First thing to know is that this is NOT Europe. We are the USA. And Canada. We have wide open spaces. We have states that are bigger than most European countries. In Europe, you can drive through 4 countries in a day. Here, there are places that you can drive all day and still be in the same state. Europe is a completely different way of life than here.
Next thing. These fuel efficient cars of which you speak are not for everybody. Some of us still have use for larger and more utility vehicles. We haul things. We actually do work with them. If you want to drive a subcompact, you have my blessing. Just don't presume to tell me what I can or should drive.
