Check on what the insurance actually pays. My son had one plan that only covered one phone every two years. He had one fail sooner then the plan would cover. So They just refunded him the premium rather than pay for a replacement phone.
Also watch where you buy the insurance. Some is store/chain specific if they are an independent seller. I found this out the hard way. I currently have a Verizon phone. In Clinton Iowa there is a Verizon store right by where you wait to dump corn. So When my phone was up to be replaced I just stopped there. Wrong move. That store is an independently owned store. They switched the insurance when I got the new phone. I could not have replacement phones sent to my home. I had to exchange them at the store or one of there other stores which where all in IL.
