We still use a Lorenz 8'on JD 4440 turning 160HP+. Excellent heavy duty blower in all conditions. Each snow is so different to move. Getting a slow reverse is usually the biggest problem. Quad range JD has held up and we ride the clutch a lot when blowing snow. We sold some front mount snow blowers for 4020, 4430,1086 etc. Without MFWD they were stuck a lot. Too much front weight. Fair is a high volume blower but takes a lot of HP. Lorenz dealer but I could sell Snowmachines, Fair , McKee. Most of the blower brands will do a decent job without a lot of maintenance.
