Having ran both a 560 and a 730, I would say the 560 is light years ahead of the "putt-putt." Although, the tractors I have driven were gas, the 560 has way more HP than the JD, and it doesn't have that annoying two cylinder beat! The 560 also has a T/A which the JD does not. I also like the two pt hitch on the IH compared to the 3pt JD as the 2pt has a double acting cylinder on the hitch and the 2pt is also easier to attach. And the worst thing about the JD is the shift pattern and the strange clutch, Whats up with that? All in all, the 560 is the best work tractor, but I would also like a 730 in my shed. They are good tractors- just have some minor problems to get used to!
