I asked this question over on the Ford board but figure all kinds of tractors use chains so thought I might get other insights here. I want to be able to push a lot of snow this winter. My set of double ring chains from my retired tractor won't fit the 16.9 x 24 tires on the 4000. Should I consider the duo-grip, which have chains on an angle to keep the chain up on top of the lugs, or any other type of chain or just buy new double rings like I'm used to. Does anything work better than the double ring chain??
