Follow up on Olivers--I guess I don't know my Olivers! Before I bought my S-99 I went to a Sale in Ohio to buy one for $25,000 but that is where the bidding started--brought $49,000--Went through Indy on the way home and Mister Oliver-Ollie Shaffer's truck was sitting by the side of the freeway with the S-99 on the trailer--No one around. So $8000 was too much today? The is one on Tractor house for $18,000 also? Went to a sale at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa a couple of yeas ago to buy a MF 98--$18,000 bought it--I quit at $12,000--today 2 for $7000. Went to Sparkies sale at Jesup, Iowa 2 years ago-44 Oliver brought almost $10,000--today--$4200. Went to Lyle Dumont's sale a Sigourney, Iowa 2 years ago to buy a Detroit Oliver--came home with a empty trailer. Can you people tell me what you base your value of Olivers on? Please tell me about the sales you went were that had collectable Olivers on. Thank You---Tee
