I worked about 25 years at a Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Dealership both as a mechanic and a Parts Manager. I know both sides of the gripes and both are mostly warranted. I will not complain of paying the going prices of parts and labor. My problem is with the quality of work. You may or may not have your vehicle returned with the problem repaired but 75% of the time there will be 2 or 3 new problems the shop created. Your larger shops are the worst offenders. I do all my work I can (which is limited) and find a small shop and give them all my other buisness. Pride in workmanship is mostly a thing of the past.
