I used alluminum paint on all four rims of my 44 farmall A. It looks and holds up great for about two years. Unfortunatley it fades after that point and then touch ups become a nightmare. I've had some scratches placed on mine since it is still in use on the farm and when I decided to do the touch ups this summer I found out what a difference a few years worth of wear can make. Go ahead and use the alluminum but get ready for some fading. I'd still use it cause I can get the stuff from wal-mart for .94 rather than $6.00.
