The same thing happened to a friend who had a gun smith shop. When he opened he had several stools on the customer side of the counter but after 6 months he moved them behind the counter, saying he couldn't get any work done. Then he got rid of them. Then he changed his hours to open at 10, he'd sneak in the back and work. But his friends still came in and interrupted his work.
