I don't know the particulars on it but I saw one on a front wheel drive Chevy cut down car chassis once. The feller had stripped the body off a wrecked car and built a bed and post driver like you are thinking about. He had the aux hyd pump that drove off the engine belts with a A/C electric clutch on it so the hyd pump did'nt run unless needed. The post driver was mounted on a swivel so that it kept the post plumb at all times. He could switch out the post driver and put on and auger bit to drill corner post holes and to set poles for pole barns.
