This is a result of the superbly high detergents and additives in the diesel oil. It is doing it's job a a remover of the soot and carbon particles found in the diesel engine crankcase. This is the way it should be, just be sure it has no milky look,(from water or excess condensation) or smells of diesel fuel, either of these would mean you needed to look things over. I was a mining fleet grease monkey for a number of years, and every time we changed oil in our equipment,(5- 20 gallons each), it looked like you described in 10+ hours. We used Citgo C-500 15w-40, and found it had the lowest cost per hour of use of all the brands we tried. Just my 2 cents worth of experience speaking. Gene Davis
