I have had times in the past where shining up the rotor cap was cause for not starting. It must shorten the contact end. Bought a new rotor cap , and the engine would start up. Worth a try for you. They are cheep. Acually , if you haven't tuned it up within a year or so , you might want to consider it.

It has great power for its size and can really hunker down and lug. Classified as a 3-bottom plow depending on soil conditions.
