Farmall H Kerosene or Gas

I have a 1939 Farmall H that was found in a salvage yard totally stripped. It belonged to my grandfather who bought it new. The question is, is there any way to determine if it was a kerosene tractor or a gasoline tractor. The grille was missing so no way to tell if it had shutters, and the intake manifold was missing, so no help there. Fuel tank and hood missing too.I would like to restore it to it's original conditon. Any ideas?
