I have Sears table saw that centrifugal switch on motor is bad and is no longer available. My remedy was to install separate toggle switch to disconnect start capacitor once motor is turning. It seems to work really well, I just have to remember to flip switch, but is there a disadvantage to this method? That is, other than manually flipping the switch. After all, from what I understand, this is the only purpose of the centrifugal switch. Thanks in advance!
