I can't tell you what year it was that Uncle Claud bought his first Oliver 2 row,but it was before the war. It had a side discharge elevator. Dad told the story about Claud breaking his fingers in it when he got his glove caught. Dad said he ran it for him the rest of the day,then met my mother that night. Another old guy in the neighborhood told me he ran it for Claud one time while he was up north deer hunting. He said he caught a rock and rolled the center snout back under it. He drove to Battle Creek to the factory to get a new one so he could fix it before he got back.
