The "best" brand had way more to do with the dealer that was selling it than the actual make of the tractor. IH and John Deere kind of ruled the roost around here, but north of me not too far was a very aggressive OLIVER dealer, and nearly EVERY farm in that area was powered by Oliver. By 1950, there were no bad tractors.
