I planted some sunflowers one year with my jd 290 planter as a oilseed test, I had to buy the rings and plates for the job,, a friend of mine who worked at a jd dealer then printed me off some sheets that had all the planter plates and then I measured my seed stock and picked the closest one in the chart it seemed to have been right as they grew very well, I just went and looked for the parts I bought but I was doing some rearranging last winter to my Case room and I have moved them it seems,, the parts were available then from jd but was not cheap really,, sorry I wish I had not moved them now,,
