I've always owned open station Masseys and Fords. In 2017 my wife and I bought our first cab new tractor an M6060 Kubota. My only regret is that I didn't buy it a lot sooner. It is perfect for my haying in summer and feeding in winter. I agree with others, I don't believe you will be able to get a backhoe to work well with a cab tractor, however, just how much hoe work will you be doing over the years? If you are like the rest of us, probably a lot less than you might think. (I have a Case 580B hoe and don't use it enough to really justify keeping it. Actually I do more freeby work for neighbors than I do for myself) So here's my thought on the hoe, when you need one, go rent a compact one for the day and let the rental company do the maintenance on it. Buy yourself a new cab tractor (the M6060 is 63 hp by the way) If I ever buy another new one it will be another Kubota. My front license plate says it all for me --Friends don't let friends drive green and yellow tractors. Just a joke John Deeres are good tractors just too high priced for me and what I do.
