Your C may or may not have a waterpump, someone may have put one on it in the past. Either way, if it has a pump or not, you don't have to do anything with the pump pulley, it is non adjustable. You wil have to loosen a nut on your fan spindle. There is a cast iron bracket that houses a spindle for the fan hub to ride on. You can look between this bracket and the block and see a nut. You loosen it and the spindle will slide down , as it is in a slotted hole. Maybe this wil help.
