I am hoping someone can help a little. I have a AC D14 tractor that the gas gauge did not work. I removed the gauge and found the cork had come off of the stem. I was able to fish the cork out of the tank but it is in pretty bad shape. The rest of the gauge is in excellent condition. When I priced a new guage at my AGCO dealer it was over $100. The cork that I removed appears to have a coating to protect it. I checked my local auto parts store and he did not have anything. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement cork? Any suggestions on what I can use instead of the cork that will not be destroyed by the gas? Thanks for the help.
