I have owned the Ford F-350 Super Cab and I live in the colder climates of 26 degrees below sometimes. I have never used a heater as the new diesels do not have to have heaters anymore and you don't need to run them for a half-hour before going down the road. It had two batteries with 130 amp alternator. I have put 13,000 miles and it has a 100,000 mile guarantee. Everyone I have talked with regarding Powerstroke or Cummmins, Ford, Chevy, or Dodge -- through the conversation all seem to be talking about the new Chevrolet. Their new diesel and the Ellison transmission might be the right way to go. Later we might find out that we are better off with the ones we have now. Who knows.
