At random times It will not turn off when it times out it keeps running unless you open the door, you can mess with the dial it will turn off but may in time start up on its on unless you leave the door open, I have found it turns on by its self and in heat dryer cycle. For now I set a timer to remind me to turn it off and leave the door open so it will not restart on its own.
When it turns on by its-self the heat is on.. I dry my work clothes in it some have tractor related grease/dirt on'em :)...
