Look for a farmall with a wide front- powersteering is nice, but not necessary. An H or a M would do in your situation. They are plentiful and cheap ($1500 for a good runner, fair paint) and pretty easy to work on. If you like more of the creature comforts like live hydraulics and live pto, try a Farmall 300 or 400. Don't be scared of the T/A feature, it's not a necessity, but it's nice when they still work. A 3point hitch can be added easily to these tractors which makes them more implement friendly. I would try for a H or 300, or a 300 utility. The utility would demand the most money though. Good Luck
