Everybody in Texas and many other places in the south seem to be whining about how bad the hogs are tearing up thier land and crops and how they can't get even make a dent in the population.
Until... Somebody offers to help with this terrible problem by asking to hunt.
Then suddenly they don't have a hog problem and those porkers are precious endangered species that command at LEAST $500 a day to hunt.
And don't give me some BS about lawsuits and hunter-caused property damage. First off, 99.9995% of these "reports" never happened or the damage was not caused by "hunters" it was caused by tresspassers or poachers without permission.
Any hunter worthy of the name will provide the landowner his name, address, drivers license number, and sign any waiver releasing the landowner from damages in the event of an accident. With all that info in the hands of the landowner, who in his right mind would so much as throw a gum wrapper on the ground? I will also personally show any landowner who allows me to hunt my certificate of liability insurance so should there be any bizzaire circumstance where I would damage property through accident, they would be compensated.
But all this won't get you the time of day in Texas when it comes to this alleged "hog problem" everyone's always whining about.
