Well Stan it has been fun watching this discussion develop. You are right, poor way to judge a tractor. Might work if all same age and production numbers. Those guys on the Tri-directional I am not sure who's drinking the Jack Daniel's. To Bill up north the Hart Parr 30-60 had its day, soil compation would not be acceptable today. Jakee, says it all in one line, maybee didnt realize but if you put the operator platform and 3 point hitch from the 8N on the Farmall M you will come up with the same configuration as the JD 4020. To Mike in Ind. and George thats what you have, basically an American built row crop with 3 point hitch and a comfortable operator platform. Be it JD, IH, Allis, Ford, Oliver, Cockshutt, Case, MM, you name it when they put the Ferguson system on American built row crops they all had tractors as good as their dealer network.
