Case I H CX 80

We got a CX 80 in the other day for repairs. The mechanic who repaired it just came to us from John Deere, and saw nothing unusual, but I noticed it has a Perkins engine, as opposed to the Case / Cummins we normally see in the Cont/ Industrial Skips and Hoes that are our stock in trade . Buzz , another mechanic, said it was a David Brown , just decaled for Case / I H . I thought DB quit bulding tractors some years ago....... Whats going on ???
