I m new to the forum but could use some thoughts. I m restoring a 67 ford 2000 3cyl gas. All through but having an issue with the lift. I pulled and did a lift cover rebuild. Put new leather and oring on piston. Problem is the lift will not move, but if you crack the cap for the check valve on the front side of the 3x5 top plate it works. If it s tight, it doesn t work and the pump humms alittle and the tractor motor bogs down. No oil at the check value but there is oil pumping up the tube to the left going to the plate. I didn t remove the whole check valve but did check the ball seat. Wasn t sure about getting the check valve out? Any thoughts? Thanks allot in advance
