Wow, got stories on this one, but not enough time. Here goes: Story #1 We had a 1940ish IR compressor, blew the engine up, continentals suck, and fabbed up one as follows. Took the old piston compressor, cut off the engine, left the clutch and flywheel on the compressor, welded a pto to it and ran it with his MF 65. Worked great, you use the internals of the compressor, adjust the tractor throttle to get speed and air, and the compressor already had tank, fittings, and pop off. run lots of line, we ran 100' up wind of what we wanted to sandblast, and it worked swell, no contaminants, no overspray, etc. Story #2. We took his 1950ish army duece and 1/2 and removed the front pto winch. Attached a 1960ish screw compressor, less engine to the front of the truck, attached the pto to the truck and compressor, and used the engine fan from the truck to cool oil for the compressor. The truck idled and made 100+cfm. This one worked better. Story #3. Best of all. Brother got a diesel powered 150cfm air compressor from a guy, put in shut off rail, and now uses this one solely. gave 1500ish for the compressor and hose. He ran a 300lb clemco pot for each compressor and 1/4" nozzle with no problems.

The colony remained far from self-supporting and it was not until the early 1800's that things started to improve. Free settlers started to arrive, they followed the explorers across the mountains and where land was suitable set up farms. T
