Thanks, Mark. Lee and I had the privilege of meeting John McDermott, one of the original "Irish Tenors" to appear on PBS two or more years ago. Also, went on a cruise with John. I would like to put in a plug for him. John is a huge supporter of Canadian (yep, he's Canadian) and American war vets. He gives tons of free concerts to vets hospitals and homes for the aged. He has started and runs two care facilities for homeless veterans in Boston (his office is in Boston) and Washington, D.C. John was awarded the Bob Hope award, as an entertainer, from the Medal of Honor Society for his support of veterans causes. Many of his songs memorialize the great and small wars. If you like Irish/Scottish music and traditional ballads you might like John's recordings. His website is Johnmcdermott.com. He will have his own PBS special sometime in March or April, I believe. On another note, I'm not surprised there are so many veterans who enjoy this site-after all, it is about traditional values and heritage. Thanks, troops!
