ot: snowmobile questions

I have a 79 kawasaki invader 440 l/c, and it is very, very hard starting, i have to put a little gas in the cylinder and then pull it over for a minimum of 20 minutes for it to start, but once it is started, it runs strong. what causes this, and how can it be remedyed. also, i have a 71 moto-ski capri 340, that it will start great once, then once it is shut off, wont start, period. it takes a hours before it will even pop. It has bright blue spark, and it is getting fuel. what causes this, and how can i fix it thank you in advance
