STUCK CLUTCH

HI.. I HAVE A JD 440 DIESEL TRACKLOADER WITH REVERSER THE MACHINE RUNS FINE BUT THE CHUTCH IS STUCK. I CAN MOVE IT WITH THE REVERSING LEVER. I HAVE RECEIVED MIXED INFORMATION ABOUT DOING THIS BUT DO NOT KNOWS THE PROS & CONS. IF YO HAVE ANY TRICKS TO FREE THE CLUCH. OR HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THE REVERSER I COULD USE SOME HELP
