Nice looking hay field.. I’m with TxJim in the dislike of Bahia. In this part of Texas cutting it is like cutting wire because it’s so tough. Don’t like baling it either because it tends to stick to the belts and work it’s way behind them. Not a great hay grass either because 60% of the plants protein is in the bottom 3-4 inches. It is a better grazing grass because of its drought resistance and it’s ability to grow back after being grazed short. But it spreads like a weed so it’s hard to keep it where you want it.
