I have always had a dog or two around. They really attach themselves to your heart. We are currently down to a pair of House dogs. Frist time in a long time we do not have an outside dog.
Here is a picture that is over fifteen years old. These two dogs always where waiting for me to get home. They had my schedule down and would come an set under this pine tree for me to come in the drive way. The left dog is a Black female chow named Bear, she rode all over the entire US with me. The right dog is a American Mixed male dog, Tucker was a good watch dog that never met a strange kid/child. He would come in during cold weather. If anyone was on the couch they had him cuddled up against them. HE was an original cuddle butt.
