You need to go through somebody that does that and can help you through that not a car dealer. Your not going to "Just get a Check for diminished value. Google somebody in your area that does diminished value claims might cost you a couple hundred bucks. What they do they will come and take pictures of your car and give you a estimate of your cars value before the crash and after the crash. If your car was 7 months old and now it close to totaled your in for much more that 3000 dollars. it would be to your advantage to look in to that. I didnt know anything about a diminished value till the guy at the bodyshop told me about because he knew that my truck was new at the time when i took my truck in for the repair. Down here in North Carolina i went to dvcheck.com got intouch with that guy and he helped me out with mine at the time it was just 99 bucks now i think its around 200 because i told a friend of mine after he had a crash up he told me it was 200.
