Im brand new to this forum, though am hopeful some experts will chime in on ideas and recommendations ! I have a Ford 9N that wont start, wont even turn over. It was just fine until I loaned it to my son in law, now nuthin'. Im a fast learner, so That won't happen again. Its dead when I attempt to start it, though starts right up when I jump it from another battery, although dies right away when I disconnect the jumper cables. The battery was the first thought I had, so replaced that (it was old so was up for replacement). Despite replacement, same issue. So, I had the alternator checked, and replaced it too. Still, same issue. Seems like a bad ground to me. Ive checked continuity with a volt-meter and everything checks out fine (I get full 12v+ readings at every ground location I can trace). Not sure where else to look. Any thoughts ?
