Register it as an historic vehicle and park it on the street in front of your house (watch for the parking restrictions). Last time I checked in NY anything over 25 years old is a historic vehicle. The intent of this plate is that you can drive your car to and in parades and other historic or show events - their are some restrictions.

You can even drive around the block to show your tractor when the cops show up. I'll be they haven't even thought of restricting Historic Vehicles.
