If its cold enough they will freeze. The plastic valves and piping are esp. vernerable. And it gets Cold under the rig! We refrain from using ours when its below freezing or plan our use to allow immeadiate dumpout.You can also add rv anti freeze but that gets expensive real quick. If I were making that trip I would monitor the low temp forcast and just avoid using them till I was far enough south. Nothing much worse than having broken equipment right off and having to live with it the rest of the trip.
