We've got two just about as pictured, Cat V12 and 2250kW gen sets. We made trouble for ourselves by demanding that they both get a start signal, then the lag set synchs to the lead set, the electronics seemed full of gremlins. The motors aren't all that loud, especially inside the enclosure. Yes, I still wear hearing protection, anyways.
These two are backups to the backup source, which backs up the four big generators- 3500kW GE sets powered by Worthington V12s. They go from dead stop to full speed (514rpm) and load in ten seconds or less, with air start systems.
