There is a fellow called Geo who reads the posts on Today's Tractors and the forum on Orphans (tractors) who is really sharp in these tractors. That said, the Romanian starter usually found on these tractors is not really good quality. I am told that a rebuilder in my area run by a female can make these better than new. I saved my old one (after it died) just in case it is needed, but replaced the original with a Bosch from the Long dealer. Very costly, but much better than the original.
