The keywords here are "without too much reworking?" I have a 148 on a JD 4250. I'm thinking you will need to use some plating to go from the front cultivator mount holes to the back holes. This would be to utilize more of the holes in the loader sub frame. Probably would need another plate in the front as the loader sub frame probably won't quite align with the weight bracket holes. I'm thinking that the loader is strong enough given the HP that additional bracing would not be needed. At the same time the tractor should be strong enough in the chassis to handle the loader for moderate use. Before you buy the loader see if there is enough width to use some heavy plating along with spacers for mounting the 148 sub frame. Too dark to measure but I will check in the morning but I believe the width of the 4250 chassis in the engine area is 22."
