Oliver on his Hyote-Clagwell, that was such a funny show. And during those years, we had so many of the Me Douglas type folks, selling their city homes, and buying little farms around us. They wanted their kids to grow up with some farm life experience, and get them out of the city. Most of these kids that I went to school with hated it, but maybe the experience made them better people later in life. By better I mean, more understanding of where food comes from, and the entire world isn’t the asphalt and concrete make believe world of the city.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
