When my wife and I and the 2 horses and the pony and the two dogs and one cat moved onto 5 acres in the rural area back in 1987 we met our new neighbour Herb accross the street who had 80 head of cows a 9N, a newer Ford tractor and all kinds of ancient other stuff. He never used the 9N as he had the newer tractor but I did. Used it to clear and grade some areas. Years later Herb moved with his cows to a more remote area. He still owns the property so left most of the ancient stuff there. Another neighbour down the road bought the 9N and we purchased it off him ( about 1994 ). Cost $2000- Cdn. which I thought was a bit much but I have not regreted it for a moment. We named the 9N Herb and after some initial funny running which has since been corrected Herb the tractor has run fine. BC Mike C # 2 Herb 9N
