Got my first one in 1972- We had just bought a place, and I hired a guy to cut and bale the hay. He came over on an 8N with MF sickle bar mower and did the job- then left the tractor and mower there. I called him about a month later and asked what the deal was, and he said, "I'm sick- sick and tired- made hay all summer and barely made enough to keep everything running." He said I could have the tractor and mower if I paid off the bank- about %900. It's about 25 tractors later now, by last count, and the 8N is long gone. But I love the hobby.
