I have a IH 660 (D282 motor) and just recently hauled home a parts tractor - of the same model. I noticed that on my original tractor the injectors are installed with the glow plugs on the upper side of the injector body -- it has been this way for years. On the parts tractor I got the injectors are installed 180 degrees out with the glow plugs on the bottom half of the injector body and by the look of things they have been that way for a very long time as well. Is there a proper way of installing the injectors or does it not make any difference. Could some of you check your tractors and see how yours are installed ? I believe this motor was used in the IH 560 diesel as well. Thankyou in advance .
