Big Jim, I posted this to Don in a later post. Duey The red wire should be hooked to the big battery connection on the back of the alternator. The white wire is the one giving you the feedback. Two ways to correct the problem. 1. Install a diode in line or 2. Use an automotive ignition switch so you can seperate this wire from the wire that feeds the coil. White wire to acc, with coil wire to ign. NAPA part #( KS6116 is for distributor and used with original pull or push start ) ( KS6180 is for distributor and used with a solenoid for key start - Starter terminal must be changed to bolt type if removing manual connecter) Duey
