Hunting laws and ethics are kind of a can of worms. In most states baiting bear is illegal. They say it is unethical. Here in MN, baiting bear is legal. If I shoot a bear over bait here is it unethical because it is in most other places? Some people don't like deer blinds. They say it gives unfair advantage. Other people spend thousands on the latest and greatest hunting clothes, scent masking stuff, range finders, fancy bullets and rifles or bows and arrows. All of this stuff gives them some advantage. Who is correct? Here it is illegal to hunt from a building or permanent stand that is higher than 16' off the ground. But with a portable or climbing stand there is no height limit. Here it is illegal to shoot within 500' of an occupied dwelling - unless you own the dwelling or have written permission. I had to put it in the lease so I could hunt about 200' from my rental house. If you are the occupant you can shoot a deer while sitting on the john if you choose. Used to be two-way radios and walkie talkies were strictly forbidden and it was considered unethical to use one. Now everyone has a cell phone in their pocket and can call or text anything at anytime. What happened to the old ethics there?

If you rebuild the motor, you could use hardened seats and valves, and unleaded fuel. But if your old tractor runs good, a simple lead substitute added to the gas is a perfectly reasonable solution. And, if you are like me, your tractor is under cover, but it sits outside. So with every temperature change, the humidity in the air collects in the fuel tank, in the form of water.
