It all depends on how straight and solid they are. Like others said, most yard trees are not worth much and/or mills don’t want them , if that is the case. As a hobbyist woodworker, I don’t mind buying a standing tree and having a portable mill saw it up for me. The caveat is I don’t want to pay too much, since the risk is on me if the tree doesn’t make much good lumber, and if the sawyer hits anything, I’m on the hook for damaged blades. Most any large scale operation has little to no interest in only 3 trees.
