Rainy and getting colder down state, I can handle cold just waiting for the rain to stop, so I got a few minutes.
Blackhole49, the hunter's orange garment must be the outer most layer, not tucked under a hoodie or poncho . Around here that would definitely catch the CO's attention. Just saying.
Neighbor next to me got a little 4pt. it was dinky. None of my guys would have shot it. It had four points not because it was two years old as he seemed to think, but because it was a late fawn last year and had plenty of forage and minerals to grow a bigger than normal (points wise) rack this year. There are a couple of them around the place this year. Oh and my yard deer are just barely in sight eating drops under the apple tree as I write.
Congrats on getting a nice buck! Enjoy the eating, how much do you put up as steaks and what other goodies?
